Thanks Ann for sharing information from Hope 4 Hurting Kids website regarding how to make an Inside Out Mood Board - looks like there could lots more activities available that fit with the ethos of Protective Behaviours :cheer:

Day 9 Activity:
Out thanks today go to Judith for making and sharing some videos for young children with the help of Tizz - think Tizz also had a helper :P
All 3 videos can be found on You Tube - the 1st is called Giants & Snails
The 2nd When Caramel was lost
And the final one so far Tizz's Special Stones
All 3 films, as Judith describes it, use imaginary roleplay to help ourselves feel empowered and a little more safe'. Definitely something I find useful right now.
So today's activity is to make and share a way of using a puppet, character, story or roleplay to help people feel safer :side:

I'm really enjoying receiving feedback from each activity so thanks once again for sharing your creativity and passion for the Protective Behaviours process
For those of you who use Instagram I'd like to recommend checking out @alfiedogslockdownlife - he seems to know an awful lot about PBs and this fits beautifully with yesterday's activity :)

Day 10 Activity:
Those of you who know me well are probably already aware that I like using puppets and have lots of photos of them doing all sorts of things to illustrate the continuum of safety
Today's activity is to share a picture of a pet, toy or puppet doing something that could be either fun to feel scared or risking on purpose.
Here's a few from my photo album to get started

Thank you for sharing your ideas and photos from yesterday's suggested activities - looks like lots of you like using puppets! Here are a few more demonstrating what fun to feel scared and risking on purpose might look like :woohoo:

And here are a couple of Bella - I wonder where she might be on the Safety Continuum?

It can feel really helpful working out where on the Safety Continuum a particular event might be for someone and then asking what might help move it closer to the 'Feeling Safe' end. This often highlights the need for having a choice, an element of control and a sense of time limit.
Bella's previous experiences of getting clean after experiencing the 'fun' of rolling in fox poo hopefully helped her know it wouldn't take too long and being contained in the laundry basket helped her feel safer than slipping around in the bath. I certainly didn't offer her a choice though!

Day 11 Activity:
Many thanks Ann for coming up with an activity that builds on yesterday's ideas and provides another opportunity to think about the Safety Continuum.
Have a look at the scenarios below and try to work out ways for each to feel safer ;)
