Articles/reports about Protective Behaviours was created by Sally Ann Hart
Hi All,
I've been doing some PBs training for the University of Northampton and have been asked by one of the students for some information to support an assignment about pedagogy of children where they were asked to write about things that have shaped their pedagogy. This particular student is keen to write about PB training and asked if I had any literature/books I could recommend or magazine/journal articles that they could use when writing about it as they were really struggling to find anything - how's that for an example of Theme 2 and using a network?
This enquiry once again illustrated to me how there are all sorts of articles and reports 'out there' about PBs and approaches that support it's principles, (see Donna's recent post on Self-determination Theory) that wouldn't it be good if they were logged/accessible in one place. So why not here?
The ones that I am aware of so far can be found by following these links:

www.pbpeople.org.uk/images/documents/art...pwork-youngminds.pdf

www.safety-net.org.uk/wp-content/uploads...0/10/keepingsafe.pdf

www.safety-net.org.uk/protective-behavio...aviours-for-parents/

www.northamptonshire.gov.uk/en/councilse...ive%20Behaviours.pdf

And I'm sure there are lots more that visitors to this site and PB Trainers will know about and/or perhaps have a memory of somewhere in their PB Resource Bank.
So, this is a request to ask for help in pulling together as much of this information as possible so that there can be an area on this site that gives a permanent home to 'stuff' that could help promote, support and validate the use of PBs for years to come! :woohoo:

Morning Sally Ann,

thanks for this and think its great idea to gather all this material on the website although I don't have anything to contribute myself unfortunatley.

Been looking at the links and am having difficulty with first and last one....wondering if Steve could check them?

thanks Lucy

Thanks for the heads up on this Lucy - will ask Steve to check. In the meantime the first one can be found in John Fardon's Trainers page on this site under articles and is the one he contributed to Young Minds. The second can be found by searching for Northamptonshire NCC TaMHs Protective Behaviours. Will still try and add more satisfactory links later.

[admin edit - the first link seems ok, the last one is now corrected in original post]

Still busy searching for articles and reports and came across this one which Peter shared with us at a PB trainers meeting.
