The HeARTful Learning Conference - Gender Equality through Education & the Arts was created by Lucy Holbrook
HI Everyone, inspired by the BBC programme No More Boys and Girls I have spent the last couple of years trying to organise a conference exploring how we can create gender equality in society through Early Years and Primary Education:. And it is now happening in conjunction with The Philip Barker Centre for Creative Learning, So do please come along if you can - it is free to attend
HeARTful Learning Conference
Friday 8 November, 8.45am – 4.30pm
The University of Chester, WarringtonCampus, WA2 0DB
This event presents inspiring speakers, creative workshops and an opportunity for those working in the arts and education to share insights, questions and learning around gender equality.
Key notespeeches will be delivered by GrahamAndre (primary teacher most recently seen in the BBCdocumentary ‘No More Boys and Girls: Can Our Kids Go Gender Free?'), Helen Griffin (primaryteacher, trainer and author of ‘Gender Equality in Primary Schools – A Guide
for Teachers’), and TatianaChemi (Associate Professor at Aalborg University,Denmark; exploring the outcomes of genderequal arts-based learning in education.)

We are also ask for people to deliver workshops s0 you,or anyone in your networks, would be interested in delivering an inspiring 45 minute workshop at this conference, we encourage applications. An application form is attached, and more information can be found attached or on the conference website . Thedeadline for submissions is 5pm on Sunday 20 October.

Not sure if my previous post actually posted so in case not I am trying again...!
Just wanting to share information about the HeARTful Learning Conference exploring how we can create gender equality in society through Early Years and Primary Education. It's FREE to attend and happening Friday 8 November, 8.45am – 4.30pm at the Warrington Campus of The University of Chester, WA2 0DB
I was inspired by the BBC programme No More Boys and Girls - if they can make such a difference in 6 weeks with a class of 7 year olds, what difference would it make to violence against women and girls and poor mental health for men and boys if every child went through their education years in a truely gender equal environment, culture and curriculum? How good might that be
