You may be interesed in this book - available from The Book People on offer at £3.99. I have ordered a copy for myself but have not yet received it so cannot say how good or otherwise it is yet. The blurb from the website is below
The Great Big Book of Feelings (Hardback)
Mary Hoffman
"This attractive book with its quirky and humorous illustrations is a wonderful early-learning approach to teaching preschool children about emotions. Opening with the accessible question: How are you feeling today? the book goes on to explore a wide range of feelings including simple happiness and sadness and more complex ones like loneliness and being worried. Including brief captions and questions for grown-ups to talk about with their little ones, The Great Big Book of Feelings is written with warmth and sensitivity and ends on an invaluable final spread about Feeling Better which encourages children to share their feelings. A helpful resource for both the home and classroom."

Hi Maureen,
Thanks for the 'heads up' on this. Just looked at a few pages on Amazon and looks interesting although not totally PB consistent as talks about 'What makes you happy?'. The great thing with using this type of book with pre-school children is that the text can be easily be edited to reflect the Language of Safety. I'll also order a copy and feedback more when I've seen the whole book.

Hi again,
Just received part of my order from The Book People and although 'The Great Big Book of Feelings' hasn't arrived yet, 2 others, that I happened to find, have and I think they are fantastic for talking about feelings. The first is called 'Sometimes I feel Sunny' and is by Gillian Shields and Georgie Birkett. The second is called 'How do you feel?' by Anthony Browne. For under £5 each, both books are PBs consistent in that they talk about feelings in terms of how they feel rather than being something that someone becomes and show how many feelings there can be. They are also, in my opinion, beautifully illustrated. I feel really excited about sharing them with parents, children and the PB People community.

I have amended this book to be PBs consistent and put a sticker on the front of the book stating that I have done so and why
