Hi All,
One of the activities that generates lots of laughter during PB training is one where people are invited to create new stories or rewrite traditional tales & nursery rhymes to incorporate as much of the PB process as possible; the version of The 3 Little Pigs already on this site is an example of this and I thought it might be a good idea to share some more of these so others can enjoy them too and perhaps have a go at 'penning' some of your own. This link will take you straight there. :)

The version of Jack and Jill is really funny and really good!! I feel inspired to have a go now, as it is a useful and challenging exercise. Also, as I work with staff who are not trained yet, it might support them further when they work with children on some of the activities I plan to give staff a clearer understanding of PBs through the exemplification which emerges in these stories/rhymes.

Many thanks for sharing these, Sally Ann.

Hi again,
Have been having a bit more of a sort out of my electronic PB training 'wardrobe' and came across this flipchart that was designed by a group of 'artists'. Their task was to design a 'Wanted' poster to describe the necessary qualities of a Network Person. I love the way different people find different ways to illustrate the PB Process, sharing information with others in ways that help it become memorable.
Many thanks to the group from the Foundation training earlier this year that created this work of art. :cheer:

I love the fact that this is so visual - thanks for sharing. I think I might use the idea of asking participants to use images as well as words when thinking about the qualities of a network person in future.

Hi there,
I've had a number of PB training courses in the last few weeks which feels a bit strange as 'normally' end of terms and the holidays are quieter in terms of leading training. So, only just getting round to my usual holiday jobs which include adding items to the Training Room and updating forum posts - a couple of new bits now in the Training Room area and the picture below lead me to the conclusion that perhaps an image section within this are of the PBPeople site could also be helpful - love the way we can share PB consistent resources at no cost thanks to the generosity of the PBPeople community! (Also goes to show once people are familiar with the PB process they can create their own resources without having to rely on spending lots of money on 'off the shelf stuff'.
I hope you like the cartoon version of the Gingerbread Person/Early Warning Signs activity which appears to me to illustrate a young man doing an awful lot of masking!
Many thanks Tom for sharing your drawing skills and thank you for trusting me to finish off colouring his hair!

Hi there, me again with a new story written during a recent PB Foundation Day 2. I've added it to the resources in the Training Room as think it could be used to demonstate how children could be supported and encouraged to create a PB story. By generating some 'feelings words' and having a few 'real' characters to act out the story, children may feel energised and inspired to tell the story even if also asked to record it in writing. And those listening to the story can be asked to listen out for the feelings words and how they feel as it's shared. I believe by adding feelings to any story people are more likely to empathise and experience a roller-coaster of emotions. Perhaps we could try it out with and without the 'f'* words?!

*Shared Meaning - 'f' words means 'feelings' words to me ;)
