Now that's what I call PBs 2013! was created by Sally Ann Hart
Hi All,
For a while now I've been meaning to put together a playlist with lyrics that are consistent with the PB process - I often use music on training while groups are completing activities to give a sense of time, reinforce PB messages and give people an excuse, if one was needed, to have a bit of a boggie.

So, I was thinking about what could be on the 'Now that's what I call PBs' cd? I ask people on courses to offer suggestions and experience suggests that it's far easier to come up with ones that don't fit, like 10cc's 'I'm not in love' which has the lines 'Big Boys Don't Cry' repeated towards the end and, one of my favourite non-PB examples, 'You make me feel like a natural woman'. I, for one am not going to give anyone else that level of power!
So, below are some of my suggestions and would love to hear some of yours for either 'Now that's what I call PBs 2013' or Now that's definitely not PBs 2013 - perhaps they could come in a box set?

'Now that's what I call PBs 2013':
Gloria Gaynor - I will Survive & I am what I am
Nina Simone - Feeling Good
Carol King/James Taylor - You've got a Friend
Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling
Labi Siffre - Something Inside so Strong
Eva Cassidy - What a Wonderful World
Diana Ross - Ain't no Mountain High Enough
Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush - Don't Give Up
Simon & Garfunkel - The 59th Street Bridge Song - Feelin' Groovy
Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes - Wake Up Everybody
George Benson - The Greatest Love of All

Happy Listening ;)

Hi there,
Just received an emai from a PB Buddy with a link to a couple of Sesame Street songs on YouTube that almost, but not quite could be on the 'Now that's what I call PBs 2013' playlist.
This link takes you to Grover and Dave Matthews singing about Feelings and it's such a shame that they become the feelings they talk about rather than simply feeling them. Love the way though when they feel happier the tone of the music changes - I think this is a good example of clarity within the Language of Safety.
Also still finding lots of other songs that don't quite work in terms of consistency with the PB process so how about another cd called 'That's Not What I Ever Call PBs?'
Happy Listening, SA
