Having just had to go through several pages to reply on the Forum page about getting together I wonder if it would not be preferable to change the format of these Forum pages so that the last message posted is visible first and then other messages in reverse date order - just a suggestion :)

Hi Maureen, many thanks for your suggestion.

When the number of posts runs to several pages, you have two ways of avoiding going through all replies. Firstly, when you are viewing the list of current Topics there will be links to the individual pages, so you can just click on the last page number. Secondly, in the same view there is a link to "Last Post" in the right-hand column, which will also take you straight to the last page.

Additionally when looking at the list of Topics in a Category, if there is a new post you will see a small "New Post" link by the Topic title - again this will take you straight to the last page.

I was going to say 'what a good idea!' but maybe the explanation above will work well - for me it's a case of finding my way around more effectively and efficiently!

To address this question there is a new feature in the Forum that allows members to change the order they see posts, i.e. between the default "first post first" and "last post first".

To change it from the default, all you need to do is log in, click on the Profile tab, click on the Edit button - then under the Forum Settings tab you will find the option to change it. The new sequencing will only apply when you are logged in, otherwise the default is used.
