PBPeople Website was created by Di Margetts
Hello from retirement in OZ. Congratulations for setting up this wonderful website and forum for discussion. I wish you all 'the best of the best' for being able to disseminate information, discuss and debate all elements of Protective Behaviours and ways of implementing the process. In particular I believe it a wonderful way of hearing from each other what is happening all over the country. This in turn can and will be of enormous support to those who are starting out. Yes we do need some formalities, however, it is often the informal networks and exchanges that give us the greatest assistance in developing our understanding and thence internalisation of the PBs process.
I would also hope this forum will encourage us all to be able to challenge each other, in a PBs consistant way, anything we believe is 'unsafe' or inconsistant with the process. Some of my most important lessons have come from people challenging me, particularly when I did not stop and check if my words or behaviour were consistant with the process.
One question: how do we make the little icons happen???
Finally thank you for the big grins about Gold Medal Holder. It is appreciated if not necessarliy fully deserved. Thank you. This comes with my love and best wishes to you all. Di

G'day Di - great to hear from you and so glad you like what we've done so far. Your good wishes are well and truly received and I hope you'll enjoy keeping in touch via the site.
I'm not sure which little icons you mean but the ones that I've used on some of my posts are called emoticons and are located in the boardcode panel above the box where you type your message - at least that's where they are on this side of the world! :silly:
Hope retirement suits you and feels so good to have your input.

Now I have had a chance to have a leisurely look at this website I would like to congratulate you on it. I love the colours (my favourite but more importantly they are accessible and user friendly).
The layout is clear and information can be readily found - congratulations.
I love the forum area - will allow newbies like me to learn from others whilst at the same time allowing us to make a contribution. I feel safe and confident to add to forum topics.
Well done - I look forward to being involved in the future.

Wahooo done it. Hover mouse over the icon then type in the punctuation and letters shown. It only comes up as the icon once the post is submitted. :woohoo:

A big warm hello to all my PB friends, especially to the lovely Di in Australia! I really welcome this website and a big thank you to all who have been involved in setting it up. It 'feels safe' to me and I look forward to being able to converse and contribute to the greater good in this world. I would encourage you to all to persist and I will be sending my details to you soon for a profile. A fantastic start and great things to come!!!
